Checkable, not just promised
Your image is read and redacted on this page. This site’s security policy blocks it from talking to any other server, so there is nowhere to send a picture. Open your browser’s Network tab to see for yourself.
Pixels are replaced
The saved PNG has the covered areas painted over at full resolution, then re-encoded. There is no hidden layer to peel back, and no metadata is kept.
It will miss things
Pattern matching only catches what it can read and recognise. Names, faces, handwriting and blurry text are on you. Always look at the result before you share it.
